Attorney Andrew J. Maurer

Andrew Maurer is the founder and CEO of AJM Disability Advocates, PLLC. He first interned with the Disability Law Clinic at Wayne State University in 2010. Later he worked for the federal government, serving as an Attorney Advisor and decision-writer for the Office of Disability Adjudication and Review (ODAR). In this position, he received extensive training from the Social Security Administration in Social Security Disability Law and contributed his legal expertise to many SSD and SSI decisions on behalf of the agency.

Andrew received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2000 and graduated with honors from Wayne State Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2008.  He is licensed to practice in the State of Michigan.

Born with Cerebral Palsy, Andrew has always been active in the disability community and with various charities.  He serves as the chairman and trustee for the Disability Network of Oakland & Macomb (DNOM) and is proud to be a member of the Wishmaker Club for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Andrew lives in Grosse Pointe Woods with his dog, Lucy.
